CNRx Symposium, 2024

5th Annual CNRx Symposium (2024)

The 5th annual CNRx Symposium was held on Oct 5th, 2024 and, hosting 289 registrants, was our biggest even to date. With our Co-Directors and special guests combined, we had 17 speakers representing 12 different institutions )including one from a Brazilian university).

Topics included:

• University Sustainability Efforts and Campus Nature Rx

• Green Connections: A Nature Rx Project in Brazil

• Developing New, Connecting, and Coordinating Existing Nature-Based Therapy Programs

• Building and Integrating Nature Rx on Campus

• Teaching and Hiking with Undergraduates

• Creating Space for Nature Rx at HBCUs

• Connecting Students to Their Campus Environment and Community Through a Citizen Science Project

CNRx symposia are free and open to the public, and are particularly geared towards campus faculty, staff, and students as well as others interested in starting or expanding campus nature programs, curious about the movement and wanting to learn more, and/or looking to network and share ideas with like-minded people.
