Stay Connected!
At High Point University, we believe time spent in nature is essential for well-being, especially for students navigating academic, social, and personal challenges. The Mariana H. Qubein Arboretum & Gardens supports wellness through our growing Campus Nature Rx initiatives, designed to help students, faculty, staff, and the public connect with the nature in meaningful and restorative ways.
Our campus is home to more than 30 gardens, integrated into the fabric of campus. This provides countless opportunities for nature strolls, quiet reflection, and active exploration. We host nature-based workshops around creativity and wellness throughout the year and have a presence at large campus events like our annual Earth Day celebration and a back-to-school picnic. Our efforts aim to reduce stress, build community, and encourage daily habits of nature connection. Whether it's a quiet moment on a garden bench, participating in a nature journaling session, or discovering native plantings on a guided walk, the Arboretum & Gardens encourage our community to experience nature as a tool for wellness and renewal.
