Keep up with all things CNRx!
In the midst of a fast-paced academic environment, the University of Cincinnati is inviting students, faculty, and staff to take a breath, step outside, and experience the powerful benefits of nature through its Campus Nature Rx program. Rooted in the growing movement to promote wellness through nature engagement, this initiative empowers the UC community to prioritize mental health, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being—simply by spending more time outdoors.
Backed by the Osher Center for Integrative Health and part of a national network of over 60 participating institutions, UC’s Campus Nature Rx program transforms the campus into a living wellness resource. From tree-lined paths and quiet gardens to shaded lawns perfect for study breaks or social connection, the university’s natural spaces are more than just scenic—they're scientifically proven to boost mood, focus, and resilience.
Whether it’s pausing for mindfulness under the canopy of Burnet Woods, enjoying lunch on McMicken Commons, or taking a study stroll through the green corridors of campus, the Campus Nature Rx program helps you integrate meaningful nature moments into your daily routine. With tools like the UC Greenspaces Map, a free Nature Rx guide for first-year students, and educational videos on the CNRx YouTube channel, it's easier than ever to find your green escape.
Join the movement to make nature part of your wellness plan. Step outside, soak in the sunlight, and discover how a daily dose of the outdoors can help you feel more grounded, connected, and energized—right here at UC. Nature is waiting!
